Do some people on Myspace have hidden friends?

I know a guy whose myspace profile is public. It shows that he has 52 friends. But when you click on the link to view all of his friends, there are only 47 pictures on there.

Could it be that some of his friends are hidden from view, even though his profile is public? If so, is there a way to view a person's hidden friends?

But I figured out why the friend count didn't match...

Some people have friends that are "spam" and when MySpace finds those profiles, they delete them. However, the friend count stays the same unless that person (or that guy you know) actually goes in and deletes those profiles themselves. If you click the edit friends button on your home page, you may see that some of the profiles say - "this profile no longer exists" but yet it is still there. Until you delete those profiles, they will still count as your friend but won't actually show up in your list. That's why it seems like they are hidden.

So let's say I have 100 friends and the people at MySpace found a profile that was "spam" and delete it. Now technically I would have 99 friends, but it is still going to show 100 friends until I go and edit my friends list and delete that fake profile myself.

The second reason is that some people can actually edit their own friend space with profile editor codes. You can even change your friend count to anything you want!

it's a glitch in myspace. they aren't hidden, just some friends got dropped, and they haven't been removed from his counter. i'm don't work for them, but i believe it has to do with where his page was created (those who use external sites to build myspace pages seem to be more prone to this happening)

Yes you can hide your friends list. But in this case , he has deleted some friends and the count isn't right.

there is a way to do it through firefox, but i'm not sure about internet explorer....

In Firefox simply click (at the top of the Firefox bar) on VIEW %26gt;%26gt; PAGE STYLE %26gt;%26gt; NO STYLE

then you can undo it the same way, the wording will just be different.
