You know how people can hide their Online Now! icons? Is there any other way to see if they are online without messaging them? Can you do the same if the profile is set to private?

i set my online now thing to private and nobody ever knows that im online......not even if you go to the thing that says view online friends. if their profile is set to private that doesnt mean you wont know when they're online......you can still tell unless they actually set that online now to private. the only way to really know is if they send you a message or comment or you see some other activity on thier page.

If you're using Mozilla go to view at the top of the page, then page style then no page style. It removes all the codes preventing you from seeing things on their page. Doesn't work with privacy settings.

if they comment you, you can see the ONLINE NOW thing under their picture but other than that,

For some reason, when my friends that are set to hidden message me in my inbox, I can see when they are online.
That's the only place I can tell, though.
I don't know about when they are set to private, though...
